GENERAL INFORMATION

This analysis indicates the presence or absence of coliform and/or E.coli in your water sample

​

The cost of this analysis is $40.00, due at time of sample drop off.

​

We also offer MPN (Most Probable Number) testing if you need a count of bacteria present. This test cost $50.00. All MPN's should be collected after 10 AM and received same day as collected.

Sample kits may be picked up in our office at 2280 West Ridge Road, Wytheville, VA 24382 or if you would like a kit can be mailed to you at no cost. If you wish to have a kit mailed contact us by phone or email and provide the shipping information.

Make sure all paperwork is completely and properly filled out and received with each sample. The location, date and time sample is collected are required.

Samples must be received same day as collected and must be collected in a container provided by Blue Ridge Analytical.

Reports are provided within 2-3 business days and can be received by email, fax or USPS. Results will only be provided to our client unless otherwise requested.

COLLECTION INFORMATION

​

Collect from a faucet without a strainer, or remove strainer if present.

​

Run water approximately 5 mins from cold water then collect.

​

If you have a filter or softener, it is best to collect before it goes through the system.

​

Remove shrink wrap from bottle and carefully remove lid, DO NOT WASH OUT white power in the bottle. 

​

Be sure not to touch the inside of cap or bottle and DO NOT allow water to touch your hand before it goes in bottle.

CAREFULLY FILL THE BOTTLE TO AT LEAST THE 100 ML LINE. 100 ML OF SAMPLE IS REQUIRED FOR ANALYSIS. IF BELOW THE LINE, SAMPLE WILL BE REJECTED.

Replace cap, leaving a small amount space between the sample and bottle cap for proper mixing in the laboratory.
